Verification and prevention of illicit use

Principles of personal and business verification, requirements review and separation between internal and external decisions.

People and companies

Personal verification can verify identity, ownership and residence. The business can review the entity, representatives, property, activity and beneficial owners. The scope depends on the provider, country and service.

Differentiated processes

Integrator onboarding, provider review, and customer verification have different objectives. A technical or commercial review does not allow the controls required of the user to be omitted.

Internal and external result

An internal approval does not equate to a vendor approval nor does it automatically enable your services. There may be requests for additional information, rejections, and updates to a previous review.

Prevention and responsibility

The parties must specify their obligations for identification, sanctions controls, monitoring, retention and alert management. Using another party's technology does not automatically shift all responsibilities.

Suitable channels

Verification documentation must be received through an authorized channel and with your privacy information. Commercial contact and proposal forms are not a channel for sending identity documents.
